Format/schedule
We’re a meetup group based in Stafford with a focus on tech, software, web design and development.
The group meets every last Thursday of the month (though we do take a break in December).
We invite people to join us at the Codeweavers office from 18:00. We order in food, usually a selection of pizza, with options for vegetarians and vegans. There is general chit-chat and networking until around 19:00 when we kick off the talks.
Running order
The format often varies. We usually publish a running order on Meetup a week or so before the evening. Feel free to ask if you have any uncertainty.
Timing
We allocate an hour for talks, with two options: a single hour-long talk or two shorter talks, each lasting half an hour. This time includes both the talk itself and any Q&A.
If a talk exceeds its allotted time and we approach the end of the session, we politely request the audience to hold their questions for the open discussion session.
Setup/equipment
The projector connects with a HDMI cable. We have a USB-C to HDMI adapter available.
There is free guest Wi-Fi at the Codeweavers office. The password is rotated periodically and is conveniently displayed on posters dotted throughout the office. These posters also include a QR code to quickly connect from a mobile device.
Location
The meetup is held at the Codeweavers office. Nestled between the Superbowl and Odeon. Look out for our distinctive pink flag–it should make us easy to spot.

Parking
The Codeweavers office is conveniently located right next to the Waterfront Multi-Storey Car Park, making it the ideal choice for parking. The car park is open until midnight and operates a ticketless system — simply enter your license plate at a pay station when you’re ready to leave. If you arrive after 6pm, you’ll benefit from a reduced flat rate for the evening. Check the Stafford Borough Council website for the latest opening hours and parking charges.

Travelling by train
The Codeweavers office is a short walk from Stafford Station.
Consider checking your last train time. If it’s a concern, let us know, and we can schedule you in earlier to avoid any issues.
